Alox is another iconic Victorinox material, it stands for the protective layer on the aluminum base material. It's unique pattern make it easier to grip, while being lightweight and especially robust, thanks to the hardened oxide layer which helps to protect against damage and corrosion. During production, the scales are punched from aluminum and then embossed, before going through a process called Eloxal which uses anodic oxidation to create a protective layer.

Every year, Swiss Army introduces a new colorway for the Alox Limited Edition series. This year, the popular brand impressed again with the Stone Red scales. Their website says that the colorway symbolizes “strength and resilience of weathered stone". Each piece features anodized aluminum scales, which have great style and a much-improved grip. Consisting of the Classic SD, Pioneer X, and Evoke, the Alox Limited Edition 2024 series has something for everyone.

This Swiss Army Evoke comes with a strong stainless steel clip point blade with a brushed finish, and a Stone Red Alox handle. A great lock back folding knife, the Evoke was designed by Swiss Army specifically for hunters. A 3.75” blade, and weighing only 6.25 oz., the Evoke is also a solid EDC folder as it features an abundance of scale colors and styles, a removable pocket clip, a lanyard hole, and a removable thumb stud.
