Spyderco Subway Bowie Fixed Blade FB48PBBK – Black Ceramic Coated LC200N Bowie Style Blade – Black FRN Handle – Black Molded Boltaron Sheath | Made in Japan | Fred Perrin Designed
Spyderco – the thumb hole company – has been around since the 70’s, and while they were originally known for their impressive and now widely-loved Tri-Angle Sharpmaker, the Golden, Colorado-based company now produces a wide range of unique and dependable knives that you’ll love to carry every day. Since their first folding knife, the C01 Worker in 1981, Spyderco has defined innovation in the knife industry, paving the way for new concepts with many of their models over the years. From using high-grade (and often hard to find on the mainstream market) materials, Spyderco is beloved by many. Many of their models have an odd design at first sight, but their differences are what make them such a powerful and reliable daily carry. Nearly every one of the Spyderco models that has come through Sawyer River has impressed us and met the checklist as an EDC knife. The US-based company produces high-grade pocket knives un the USA, Japan, Taiwan, Italy, and China, surely having a model that will fit both your style as well as your budget. Spyderco is one of our biggest knife brands here at SRKT – when it comes to selection – so if there is something you are looking for that is not on the website, send us an email, as we may have it in person, but not on the website yet.
The Spyderco Subway Bowie, designed by French custom knife maker/martial artist Fred Perrin, isn’t exactly what you think of when you hear “Bowie Knife”. However, this bite-sized fixed blade comes equipped with everything you need in a reliable and easy to use Bowie-style, corrosion-resistant knife. Many have been awaiting the arrival of these guys, and us at SRKT are shocked at how much of an impressive knife can fit into such a small package. With an FRN handle that has been molded directly onto and around the blade’s tang, and a LC200N blade, you can’t go wrong with picking up one of these Fred Perrin-designed pieces. You may be blown away by the smallness of the Subway Bowie, but once you start putting it to use, you will never look back. Featuring Perrin’s signature finger choil in the handle, a molded Boltaron sheath, and coming with both a paracord lanyard as well as a breakaway ball chain, Spyderco set us up nice with a small pack-a-punch Bowie-style fixed blade.
This Spyderco Fred Perrin Subway Bowie has a black ceramic coated blade and black FRN handle. The boltaron sheath is also black.
Please research and be aware of your local knife laws before purchasing and carrying a pocket knife.
