This Spyderco Para 3 model C223GPBK has been upgraded to CPM S45VN stainless steel. S45 is an extension of CPM S35VN, while being a little lower on the steel "toughness" scale, has improved edge retention and highly enhanced corrosion resistance. This allows for an incredibly well-balanced steel on an extremely dependable pocket knife. On this model, the blade has been coated black to match the black G-10 handle scales and black four-position reversible pocket clip.
