Spyderco – the thumb hole company – has been around since the 70’s, and while they were originally known for their impressive and now widely-loved Tri-Angle Sharpmaker, the Golden, Colorado-based company now produces a wide range of unique and dependable knives that you’ll love to carry every day. Since their first folding knife, the C01 Worker in 1981, Spyderco has defined innovation in the knife industry, paving the way for new concepts with many of their models over the years. From using high-grade (and often hard to find on the mainstream market) materials, Spyderco is beloved by many. Many of their models have an odd design at first sight, but their differences are what make them such a powerful and reliable daily carry. Designed by Spyderco co-founder and Blade Magazine Hall of Fame® member Sal Glesser, the Bodacious is named after an American bucking bull that became famous as “the world’s most dangerous bull.” Inspired by that legendary animal’s indomitable spirit and impressive strength, our Bodacious is a hell-for-stout folding knife designed for unfailing reliability. Its broad, leaf-shaped blade is full-flat ground from CPM-S30V stainless steel. The knife’s handle is built on a framework of skeletonized stainless steel liners nested within smooth G-10 scales. In addition to providing structural strength, the liners form the foundation of the knife’s high-strength Compression Lock mechanism and provide a secure mounting platform for its broad-based pocket clip.
