Speaking of show-off knives, this is certainly one of them. A part of the Sand Trooper Signature Series offered by Microtech, this Ultratech comes coated almost all white, with a heavy distress all over. The double-edge dagger blade is white coated and each unit comes with a uniquely patterned distressing on both the blade and handle chassis. The distressing on these Sand Trooper models are just awesome. It certainly appears as the knife was originally plain white, and spent some time getting dirty in the sand. The colors blended into the white are a sand-brown/tan as well as a little bit of darker gray distressing. The pocket clip and hardware are all coated black giving this knife the perfect amount of contrast. To improve the aesthetics of this model even more, Microtech decided to give it a deep-engraved Sand Trooper log. The clip, of course, says “Sand Trooper”, also has the Sand Trooper logo, as well as the knife’s date of birth and serial number. These Ultratech Sand Troopers are certainly something to behold. As I said before, each piece is different and unique based on its distressing, giving you the ultimate feel of collectability and exclusivity.
