Microtech | Borka Blades Stitch Auto 169-1T – Black Coated M390MK Plain Edge Spear-Pointed Wharncliffe Blade – Black 6061-T6 Aircraft-Grade Aluminum Handle Chassis – Black Pocket Clip & Hardware – Push Button Automatic w/ No Safety | Made in USA | Sebastijan Berenji
To stray away from their typical lines of out the front pocket knives, Microtech offers an incredible powerhouse of a side-opening push button automatic in their Borka Blades Collaboration Stitch. The Stitch, sought after by many a Microtech fan, is a standard-full sized auto with a ton of personality. Defined by its rugged and distinctive spear-pointed Wharncliffe blade, the Stitch is as much an everyday carry user knife as it is a “safe-queen” collectable. Whatever you plan on doing with your Stitch, you can’t go wrong.
A hard push of the textured face-side push button will show you what all the hype is about, as the beefy blade comes firing out of the handle chassis with serious force. What you see then, while the blade is open, is an incredibly unique set of lines, ensuring that you have a knife like no other. A big hollow fuller exists on the top part of the blade to give it a bit more depth in design as well as to lessen the weight of the blade. Additionally, the spine of the blade has a bit of an upsweep as well as jimping towards the base, to allow for extra grip and leverage during use. Lastly, a perfectly jimped finger choil at the base of the blade gives you a spot for your pointer.
As with many of Microtechs knives, the Stitch auto is made with a 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum handle, making these guys much lighter than you may ever expect, and triangle-patterned texturing allow for extreme grip. A heavy-duty proprietary pivot and hardware add a bit of flair to the handle, while a semi-open backed construction leads to ease of cleaning. The backspacer is ribbed for comfort in your palm, and has a small lanyard hole that is inauspicious while practical. Finally, the Microtech – Borka Blades Stitch Auto is equipped with a strong tip-up pocket clip for easy daily carry.
This tactical model of the Microtech Stitch comes without a speck of stainless. The only non-black coated parts of this knife are the logos and specs on the blade as well as the clip logo. The Bohler M390 stainless steel wharncliffe blade is completely coated, while the textured 6061-T6 aluminum handle scales are anodized black. This all goes along with black hardware and a black tip-up pocket clip. This Stitch is as stealth-mode as they come.
