The Slim Midi is probably my (Nate) favorite overall model out of Medford Knife & Tool in Phoenix. Against their norm, the Slim Midi is extremely lightweight and has a super thin handle. As will most of their knives, they are still constructed with full titanium frames, meaning that you aren’t losing any durability with going with this more lowkey-profiled knife. Medford may be known for producing some incredibly beefy folders that you can see in your pocket from a mile away, but the Slim Midi is certainly an exception, being an incredible choice for a high-end everyday carry.

Not only is the profile of the Slim Midi ideal, but these guys operate so incredibly smoothly. With dual blade fullers, its easy to flick your blade open with either your thumb or middle finger on the reverse side. Not often do you see such dependably made knives have such a high fidget factor. A finger choil on the blade gives you space to choke up when needed. Finished off with an open-backed design, you can be sure that clean up will be easy after a long day of hard-use.

This new 2023 model of the Slim Midi is absolutely breathtaking. To start, it comes with one of my favorite patterns machined into its titanium handle, peaks and valleys. This texturing is surely unique and gives exceptional grip while in-hand. Finished off with a bead blasted and brushed blue, this knife is simply gorgeous. Accented with a flamed pocket clip and flamed hardware, everything just syncs up to perfection on this Slim Midi. To top it all off, the tumbled drop point blade has been made with CPM Magnacut steel. What more could you ask for?
