The Original Microtech Hera OTF has been a bit of an upgraded model from their standard Ultratech series. With improved and smoothed out action, as well as a flat butt-end, losing the typical glass breaker, the Hera is an out the front to impress. Since they released them originally in 2022, we have seen a large number of models that we have been more than excited by. They began as a double-edged only pocket knife, but Microtech has recently been releasing more of them with a single edged blade, making these specific knives some of the most hard hitting - and practical - EDC out the front pocket knives on the market. While the price tags are hefty, it is surely worth it, as once you handle a Hera you will never want to put it down. 

This is the full size Hera that is just about 2 times the original Hera. It comes with, one, the new "Dual Fuel Drive Train System", which makes for unbelievable smooth action both in and out, two, the new switch that rides on a milled surface dubbed, "The Crud Kutter" which kicks out the lint and grime that collects in the pocket and, three, the single screw construction which allows for a more simplified take-down. The new smaller glass breaker fills the need without having the protruding piece poking through the pocket. These new design features make this a monumental forward step for Microtech Knives.
