Benchmades newest high-end offering, the 748 Narrows is an extremely thin and lightweight folder featuring an updated AXIS bar locking mechanism. Losing the typical Omega Springs and adding a torsion spring and updated lock stud, this guys got a more user-friendly operating mechanism, flowing smoothly from open to closed with a flick of the studs or a pull of the ambidextrous bar lock. Other than the updated lock, the Narrows is really defined by its minimal profile, sporting a liner-less 0.28" thick handle. Weighing in at less than 2.5 oz., the Narrows will make you leave the house thinking you forgot your knife, all while this feather-like beast is clipped securely to your pocket. 

Typically, such a lightweight knife will have trouble performing in the field. This won't be the case with the Benchmade Narrows, as it's put together with some of the highest-grade materials on the market. The ultra-thin matte satin finished blade is in a standard drop point style made of Bohler M390 stainless steel, meaning you won't be sacrificing any blade steel properties while picking up one of these bad boys. The handle scales are both full-piece milled titanium, having three rectangular fullers for extra grip. These handles are contoured to perfection, giving you spots for each of your fingers during use, while the blade guard/sharpening choil can act as a spot to put your index while choking up. Jimping on the spine of the blade give you all the extra leverage you need while getting up and behind your knife. To make carrying these guys even more enjoyable, they come equipped with a reversible tip-up pocket clip, which along with the thumb studs and hardware, have been coated with a sapphire blue PVD coating. The Benchmade Narrows is clearly characterized by its thin and lightweight frame, but once you get to handle one, you'll quickly realize how many details went in to designing them.
