Spyderco – the thumb hole company – has been around since the 70’s, and while they were originally known for their impressive and widely-loved Tri-Angle Sharpmaker, the Colorado-based company now produces a wide range of unique and dependable knives that you’ll love to carry every day. Since their first folding knife, the C01 Worker, in 1981, Spyderco has defined innovation in the knife industry, paving the way for new concepts with many of their models over the years. From using high-grade (and often hard to find on the mainstream market) materials, Spyderco is beloved by many. Many of their models have an odd design at first sight, but their differences are what make them such a powerful and reliable daily carry. Nearly every one of the Spyderco models that has come through Sawyer River has impressed us and met the checklist as an EDC knife. Since the 1980’s, the Spyderco Endura has been a favorite EDC around the knife world and has remained one of Spyderco’s most popular models. The fourth generation, the Endura 4’s, are a result of years of perfecting and redefining and what has come out of this is an impressive manual opening pocket knife that is carried and loved by many. With skeletonized stainless steel liners, the Endura 4 is incredibly lightweight for it’s size, and the fiberglass reinforced nylon (FRN) scales make it even lighter and easier to carry all day. Spyderco’s lockback mechanism is very sturdy, and the Endura 4’s come with their signature round thumb hole, along with a 4-position hourglass pocket clip, making this thing the ultimate everyday carry for righties and lefties alike. The strong clip and grippy Bi-Directional textured FRN handle make these things nearly impossible to lose.
