Spyderco Endela C243FPSBKBL Thin Blue Line – Satin Partially Serrated VG-10 Drop Point Blade – Black FRN Handle – Black Pocket Clip – Blue Liner
Spyderco, originally founded in the late 70’ selling their well-known Tri-Angle Sharpmaker, has since blossomed into one of the most well-known knife manufacturers and brands. Their first folding knife, the C01 Worker, which began production in 1981, paved the way for many new design concepts when it comes to folding pocket knives. Featuring the beloved round hole in the blade for easy flicking, and being the first folding knife with a pocket clip, Spyderco’s first production knife was surely impressive for the early 80’s. Now, they boast a huge line of cutlery ranging from tiny slip joints to chef’s knives to large compression lock folders. Additionally, the brand offers a huge range of both handle material and color, while also having multiple steels available for multiple knives. Spyderco, which manufactures in the U.S., Japan, Taiwan, Italy, and China is sure to have a knife that fits anybody’s style and needs.
Some think the Endura is too big, and some think the Delica is to small – therefore, Spyderco designed the Endela. Splitting the difference in size, the Endela comes with the same features as both other lightweight pocket knives, with a full-flat ground blade, reliable lockback mechanism, and the classic and easy-to-use Round Hole opening mechanism. A solid EDC, the Endela comes in a wide variety of styles.
A message from Spyderco on the “Thin Blue Line” models: “The "Thin Blue Line" is a symbolic reference to the role of law enforcement as the barrier that prevents society from descending into violent chaos. To honor the service and sacrifice of our nation's police officers, Spyderco created the "Thin Blue Line" series, which showcases this unique Endela Lightweight.
The tough, fiberglass-reinforced-nylon (FRN) handle scales of this knife are injection molded in black accented by a bright blue lining. When assembled with a matching blue FRN backspacer it creates a compelling visual metaphor for the "thin blue line."
Unlike the standard expression of this model, the VG-10 stainless steel blade combines the low-friction edge geometry of a full-flat grind with the extreme cutting power of Spyderco serrations. It is also laser engraved with the motto "To Serve and Protect" to honor the service and sacrifice of law enforcement professionals.”
This model Endela C243FPSBKBL comes with a satin VG-10 drop pointblade and a black FRNhandle with a blue liner, representing law enforcement. The reversible tip-up pocket clip is black in color.
