Returns

You may return any non-discounted and unused product within 14 days of delivery for a full refund. If the reasoning for your return is a mistake on our end (you receive the incorrect or a defective item), we will of course cover the return shipping costs. In all other cases, you will be responsible for paying for and handling the return shipping. Returns on automatic knives MUST be shipped through a provider other than the USPS. If this is the case, please ship via FedEx or UPS and to the address:

If you are returning a product that is NOT classified as an automatic or “OTF” knife, you may return the item through the USPS and ship to the address:

You should expect to receive your refund within two weeks of return-shipment date. However, in most cases you will receive your refund much quicker. This time period includes the time for the item to return to us, the time it takes to process your return once we receive it, and the time that it takes your bank to process the refund.

If you do need to return an item, simply login to your account, view your order using the “Complete Orders” link under the My Account menu, and click the Return Item(s) button. We will notify you via email of your refund request and to let you know of the next steps. Shipping

NEW: We are adding one day of processing to nearly all orders. This means that if you place your order on a Monday, it will typically go out on Tuesday and arrive to you on Thursday (if shipping FedEx 2-day). This is due to multiple factors and we apologize for any inconvenience. 

We will ship nearly all of our products out of our brick-and-mortar storefront through FedEx Express delivery. In some very limited cases, we will ship non-automatic knife products through USPS, but this is rare. We typically only ship to customers within the United States, due to knife as well as shipping restrictions, but will try our best to make your international order inquiries work. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us over email or phone to request an order be shipped internationally. If there are laws in place stating that you cannot own a specific product that you have ordered from us, we will likely refund/cancel your order and reach out to you letting you know of the situation.

A new policy here at SRKT is for us to call every new customer we receive an order from. Due to the increasing volume of fraudulent orders and scammers in the market, we like to be sure that the person placing the order is using they're own credit card and did indeed place the order. We hope you can understand this update. If we cannot get through over phone, we will leave a message and continue calling until we hear back. After a few days (based on our judgement), if we haven't come in contact, we will cancel the order. 

While checking out, you have the option of selecting "Flat Rate - Signature Required" for an extra $9.99 charge. We recommend this option if you live in an area that experiences high-theft, or if you just want to be sure that someone is home to receive your package at your shipping address. We use "direct signature required", meaning that anybody at the address can sign for the package, and if nobody is home, they will reattempt delivery the next day. If you choose to go this route, we are not liable for any delays in delivery times. 

Currently, we offer free shipping on all FOLDING POCKET KNIFE orders of $150 or more. For pocket knife orders totaling less than $150, a shipping charge of $9.99 will be added to the total. Typically, most to all orders on knives with standard sized retail boxes will be shipped through FedEx using a Padded Pak, and we will usually ship via FedEx Express 2-day. If your order consists of a larger item, we will often try to utilize a FedEx One-Rate box, but not always, meaning that shipping transit times will be on a case-to-case basis. We will reach out to you with any delay updates. Orders placed on Friday-Sunday will go out on Monday. As stated above, we are implementing one day of processing to all orders to ensure 100& order satisfaction. This means you should you should receive FedEx 2-day shipments three business days from your order date. Ex. Orders placed Tuesday will typically arrive Friday, orders placed Thursday will typically arrive Tuesday. 

Orders containing FIXED BLADE knives will often be given an additional shipping charge, as the boxes and packaging for these types of knives are much larger than those for folding knives, meaning we will have to use a much larger box for shipping. These charges will often depend on the product ordered, but should be in the $15-$30 range. Fixed blade orders will tend to be shipped via FedEx Gound rather than FedEx Express, due to the limited sizes and often high rates of larger One-Rate boxes. It is possible that we can ship Fixed Blade knives via USPS, but unlikely. Reach out to us and we can see what we can do. 

For KITCHEN CUTLERY orders, there will often be an additional shipping charge, this being due to the fact that the retail boxes for kitchen knives tend to be much longer, meaning we have to ship in a much larger box. This charge will depend on the product ordered, but will typically be around $20 - $25. This charge will show on the order form. Orders consisting of kitchen knives will either be shipped with a Large/XL FedEx One-Rate Box (2-Day), or may be shipped via FedEx ground (3-5 Day), depending on the size and weight of the product(s).

*All items we ship will be void of any references to knives, EDC tools, or anything else, so as to avoid any theft between us and you. We have even changed the shippers name from "Sawyer River Knife & Trading Co." to our General Managers name, Erlon Emerson, to help deter thieves. Look out for that name on your packages from us.*
