Another powerful out the front automatic made by Microtech, the Exocet is stout and stubby, coming with an extra-wide tip-down pocket clip that can be used for normal pocket carry, but doubles as one of the worlds coolest and most dangerous money clips. At first sight, the Exocet is an oddly shaped rectangle, but once you get it in your hand you will quickly realize how much attention to detail went into the design of these guys. With six sets of jimping along either side of the 6061-T6 aluminum handle scales, you have tons of leverage while completing your cutting tasks, and the aggressively textured thumb slide acts as another spot for your thumb/finger to rest during use. Super lightweight, and the perfect shape to simply rest in your hand while closed, the Exocet makes for a great everyday carry on those days where you’ll have tons to cut.

The double-action on the Exocet is phenomenal, as the blade-handle dimensions allow for super easy deployment and make it one of the easiest closing OTFs on the market, eliminating the two-hand closing that sometimes comes with other large OTFs. If you’re looking for a knife that doesn’t necessarily look like a knife, the Exocet is for you. The Exocet by Microtech is a bit underrated, considering it is made of high-quality materials only, has incredible action, and disappears in your pocket during the day. To add to all of these awesome characteristics of the Exocet, these knives have a sub-2” blade, making them legal to carry in the state of California. Coming in a huge variety of handle/blade color combinations, and being included in most of Microtechs signature series’, you’re bound to find one that is perfect for you.

This Signature Series model of the Microtech Exocet, part of the Outbreak series, comes with a darker zombie green finished aluminum handle chassis finished off with a red splatter that’s meant to mimic zombie blood. These new versions of the Outbreak Exocet have an awesome and rugged looking gray stonewashed double edge dagger blade. The steel is not printed on these models, but it can be assumed that Microtech used one of: M390, ELMAX, or 204P. The tip-down pocket clip along with the hardware are given a bit of a darker gray stonewash. Out of all of the “zombie” knives and Microtechs Outbreak models, this specific Exocet is certainly one of the coolest. These likely won’t be around long, so grab one. Do it.
