GiantMouse GMF1-FS Fixed Blade – Satin Bohler M390 Drop Point/Sheepsfoot Blade – Satin Skeletonized & Jimped Stainless Steel Handle – Black Leather Handmade Sheath | Made in Maniago, Italy
GiantMouse Knives boasts an array of high-quality knives at an affordable price. An idea sparked over drinks at a US knife show in 2015, world renowned knife designers Jens Anso and Jesper Voxnaes are behind the design of these impressive pieces that feature mostly manual flippers and thumb hole openers, as well as tough-as-nails fixed blades and other innovative locking mechanisms. GiantMouse knives are produced in either Maniago, Italy, or by reliable China-based manufactures including Reate and Bestech. Most GiantMouse knives have a Scandanavian influenced profile, and you can often tell who designed them at first glance. Us at SRKT began carrying GiantMouse knives in 2021 and are beyond happy with the pieces that we have seen. Additionally, GiantMouse comes out with new models often, and their designs seem to keep getting better. Whether you prefer thumb studs/holes, flipper tabs, or slipjoints, GiantMouse is sure to have a knife that you’ll love to have in your pocket everyday. High-grade steels, titanium, micarta and more are used by GiantMouse, resulting in dependable knives that are easy to sharpen and difficult to beat up. We’ve noticed that GiantMouse knives clearly have a high level of attention to detail, as the ergonomics and function of each of their models is astounding. Additionally, Anso and Voxnaes tend to name GM knives after places or things that have important meaning to them, adding an extra touch of designer-personality. Their standard line, ACE, their fixed blades, and their 400-piece limited GM line all contain a number of pieces that do nothing but impress.
The GMF fixed blade by GiantMouse is the perfect addition to your daily carry. Small, lightweight, and discreet, this basic Italian-made knife is a great fit in your hand and has a wide and beefy blade that helps it step up to the plate in any circumstance. The skeletonized handle, featuring jimping in three separate spots and a finger choil add to the comfort of the GiantMouse GMF1 fixed blade line. The drop point (sheepsfoot-esque) blade is rugged and shaped perfectly for slicing, making it a go-to daily user fixed blade. These knives also come with a Italian-made leather sheath, also designed by the GOATs Jesper Voxnaes and Jens Anso.
Now upgraded, the newest versions of the GMF1 fixed blades come outfitted with Bohler M390 “super” steel. This specific model has an all-satin finish, making this GMF1 as elegant as ever. The leather sheath that comes with this little guy is black, and makes for a great belt attachment or neck sheath. These models of the GMF1 may just be the nicest they’ve put out.
